According to an August 2008 report from the National Fire Protection Association, Fire Loss In The United States 2007:
- US Fire Departments responded to an estimated 1.5 million fires in 2007, which resulted in 3,430 civilian fire fatalities.
- There were 414,000 fires, or 78 percent of all structure fires, occurred in residential properties.

Fire Blanket Corporation are delighted to announce that OUR Domestic Fire Blanket Product has passed all tests proscribed by the ASTM and is now APPROVED to the very stringent ASTM Specification for Cooking Fire Suppression Blankets.

Fire Blanket Corporation successfully launched their new Domestic Fire Blanket to an unsuspecting audience at the recent Fire Rescue EAST Exposition in Daytona Beach January last.
The overwhelming response from Fire Fighters and ERU personnel was very positive and although the Blanket was not for sale at the Exposition there were multiple requests from attendees to buy them.
The Blanket is currently undergoing testing to the stringent ASTM standard and it is the hope, and belief, of Fire Blanket Corporation that our product will pass all tests laid down by the ASTM and come through the process without difficulty.
Such was the positive response from the attendees that Mr. Declan Bulger, President of Fire Blanket Corporation, was persuaded to give an Interview to IAFCTV, a channel of the TVWorldwide Network (Check out the Video feed on this Web Link) to explain and demonstrate the benefits that owning a Fire Blanket can have for every American family.
Once our Domestic Fire Blanket is passed and approved to the ASTM standard we will then be in a position to confirm the schedule of availability for Retail Purchase.
